Quora is not dead, which is the worst thing you can say about it. It was valued at $86 million in March 2010, three months before the public could use it. By May 2019 that number was $2 billion, on revenue of $20 million the year before. In December 2018 a breach hit about 100 million accounts. In 2024 The Atlantic reviewed the place and found that "a large number of the questions are junk." As of 2020 it claimed 300 million visitors a month. Nobody can explain why, least of all on Quora.
