Posterous launched in May 2008 with one good idea: email a post and it publishes. Twitter liked the people who built it, so in 2012 it took them and left the product on the porch. The shutdown notice came on February 15, 2013. The lights went out on April 30. Users got an export button and a lesson about who the customer was. By May the founders were building Posthaven, the same thing again, except you pay for it. That is a business model written as a grudge.
